The Manchester Art Gallery will reopen from Wednesday 19 May 2021.

Manchester Art Gallery is free and is open to everyone. It has one of the best art collections in the country and there is plenty of things to see and do that will inspire and interest you.

The gallery offers a wide range of events, from exhibitions, tours and talks to creative activities for children and grown-ups.

View pre-Raphaelite paintings, craft and design and early 20th-century British art. There are also regularly changing exhibitions about themes relevant to today’s issues, by well-known artists or on tour from other galleries in the country or abroad.

Families with young children can borrow an explorer tool belt full of things to help them discover the gallery. On the top floor in the Clore Studio there are objects and materials that little-ones can play and make art with.

With great visitor facilities and full disabled access Manchester Art Gallery is a lovely place to spend time – on your own or with others.

Go and see for yourself.
