Manchester Museum is undergoing a huge building project and is closed to the public until late 2022.

Situated within the University of Manchester, Manchester Museum is home to an array of artefacts from the natural world. Highlights at the museum include a fossilised T-Rex called Stan, ancient Egyptian artefacts and live amphibians and reptiles.

Whatever your age, there is plenty to keep everybody entertained. Get involved with hands-on activities, tours, storytelling and performance at the museum’s monthly family events and school holiday activities. There are also regular Baby Explorers, Magic Carpet sensory play and interactive story sessions for pre-schoolers.

The museum also hosts regular evening social events for adults. With talks, debates, conversations and friendly, practical workshops on a range of different topics, there is always something new to discover.
