The museum has been working with children from the Homework Club at NTCG Faith Tabernacle learning about Jewish refugees during the Second World War. They have created artworks on this year’s Holocaust Memorial Day theme of ‘For a Better Future’ which share the children’s ideas and hopes for Cheetham in the future, including ways in which we can continue to make the city a welcoming place for people arriving to Manchester.

Come along  to the Open Day, where you can expect food, artworks and creative activities, including a Make Your Own Fabric Bookmark workshop. Explore the 1874 Spanish & Portuguese synagogue as well as the museum galleries and enjoy dishes from our vegetarian Cafe, inspired by stories from our collection.
