Alexandra Park

Trees by a lake in Alexandra Park

The Grade 2 listed Alexandra Park is one of Manchester’s earliest and most intact Victorian parks, recently restored to its glory of 1870. The design of the Park (by Alexander Hennell) was experimental in its use of oval shaped and curved pathways, which contrasted with the more rigid geometry seen previously in Victorian landscapes. It is located between the vibrant communities of Whalley Range & Moss Side, just off Princess Road and covers 60 acres.
