Beswick Library

Formerly housed in The Bobbin Pub on Grey Mare Lane, Beswick Library now shares a bright and modern, glass-fronted building with the East Manchester Academy.
Always offering a warm and friendly atmosphere, the library has played a huge part in the social and cultural regeneration story of East Manchester.

Down to earth, Beswick Library prides itself on being all-inclusive and welcoming to all. There’s no librarian stacking dusty books, giving you sharp looks and signs requesting ‘quiet please’.

With community meeting rooms and communal spaces, computers available with knowledgeable staff on hand to help and a variety of activity sessions, there is always something to get involved with.

From story sessions for little ones, its popular Homework Club, advice sessions for local residents and the health information point, Beswick Library is a real bustling community hub.

The first hour of every weekday is reserved for people aged over 60.
