Brooklands Library

The front of the library in Brooklands

Bright and cheerful, Brooklands Library is housed within the forward-thinking Manchester Health Academy, a secondary school sponsored and driven by the values of Manchester’s University Hospitals and the NHS.

It’s becoming a real trend for public libraries to share buildings with other public service providers – and it makes perfect sense – learning and sharing knowledge with others is the best medicine you can get.

With an abundance of weekly drop-in sessions, there is always something for all of the family to join in with; Tiny Tots and Toddler Time for the under-fives; ICT sessions to build on your PC skills; book clubs for young and old; coding club and lego club.

In addition, Brooklands Library holds a fantastic collection of books and DVD’s, with an especially good section for the under-fives.

On the days that it is open, Brooklands Library closes for lunch between 1-2.

The library is closed between 1.00-2.00pm. The first hour of every weekday is reserved for people aged over 60.
