Longsight Library and Learning Centre

Sitting just south of the city centre, Longsight is one of Manchester’s most culturally diverse areas. This vibrant and bustling neighbourhood has the superb Longsight Library and Learning Centre to match with newspapers, publications and books available in many different languages.

So if your newspaper is in Bangla or Urdu, you’ll find it here. If you want your picture books in Polish, the library has a good stock, and if you like your fiction in Farsi, you’re in the right place.

In addition, the library hosts a regular coding club, spoken word evenings and film screenings for the local community too.

Aside from a wide range of library services, free wifi and computer services, the library also offers a range of Adult Education classes. From beginner-level digital skills to a qualification as a vocational teaching assistant, there are many educational courses for you to consider.
