The centre is now closed for refurbishment until 2 September 2022. Limited public swimming is available after this date.

Situated within Manchester’s buzzing student area, Manchester Aquatic Centre (MAC), was purpose-built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Needless to say, MAC has a wealth of excellent swimming facilities for everybody.

The centre is currently undergoing a huge refurbishment. The gyms, studio, health suite, main pool, diving pool and café will remain closed until late spring 2023. During the period of closure, a limited programme of public swimming is available in the training pool.
