North City Library

North City Library

Inspirational and Impressive, North City Library is a modern community library in North Manchester which shares its space with North Manchester Sixth Form College.

As well as being great looking, the building is a fine example of sustainable design. Since the library opened back in 2016, the solar panels on the roof and south-facing wall have produced enough energy to power a street of 3-bedroom houses for 35 years.

Step in through the stunning atrium entrance and you’ll find an array of books, resources and activities. Family Film Club, Lego Club and Tiny Tots and Toddler Time regularly take place at the centre.

North City Library has also welcomed arts organisation HOME Manchester, charity Brighter Sound and award-winning Reform Radio to host free creative sessions for the people of Harpurhey.

The first hour of every weekday is reserved for people aged over 60.
