One of Manchester’s first public parks, Fog Lane Park sits just north of Didsbury village. It is believed the park earned its name from a grass, commonly known as Yorkshire Fog, which still grows in the area. Leafy and green, the park is home to a variety of shrubs and mature trees including redwood, silver birch, alders, poplars, Norway maple and laburnum.

Fog Lane Park offers a children’s play area, a tennis court, bowling greens and football pitches in addition to a skateboarding area, wildlife ponds and a visitors centre.
