Manchester Arena

A big crowd watching a concert
Manchester Arena

Europe’s largest and most impressive indoor concert venue, Manchester Arena welcomes around 1.2 million visitors every year. Hosting a wide range of live entertainment events, the arena is situated close to Victoria railway station and is easily accessed by train, Metrolink or bus.

Since opening in 1995, the arena has brought some of the biggest names in entertainment to Manchester. The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Lady Gaga and U2 have all played here. The venue has also played a key part in Manchester’s own rich musical history by hosting local music superstars Take That, Oasis, James and Elbow. Additionally, some of the biggest events in the UK sporting calendar – international boxing bouts and several 2002 Commonwealth Games’ events – have taken place at the Manchester Arena too.
