The Dancehouse is a drama, dance and comedy venue and home of the Northern Ballet School. Offering training and rehearsal facilities, the building houses a fully-equipped theatre, five dance studios, a theatre bar and coffee shop.

With charming Art Deco features, The Dancehouse was rescued from dereliction by the Northern Ballet School in 1990. Restored to its former glory, the building reopened in 1994 as a ballet training institution, theatre and dance studio. Staging cabaret, comedy, live music, screenings and talks, The Dancehouse prides itself on its vibrant and unconventional output.

The Dancehouse holds a variety evening and weekend dance classes too. Whether you’re a budding belly dancer or want to give flamenco a try, the venue has a range of classes available. Keep fit, meet like-minded people and show off your new skill.
