On Tuesday 1 October, Heaton Park will celebrate ‘International Older Persons Day’ with two free activities, and a hot drink and a chat in the Stables Café.

All activities are aimed at those over the age of 65. Free drinks are available to those who attend an activity.

From 11:00 am-12:00pm, you can enjoy a wellbeing walk with the Bury Ramblers. Meet inside the station gate (at the Heaton Park Metrolink entrance). Following the gentle stroll, you can warm up with a free hot drink in the Stables Café.

At 1:00 pm, you can join professional Tai Chi instructor, Chris Henney, for a beginners Tai Chi session followed by a free hot drink and chance to chat in the Stables café. This session takes place in the Classroom inside the Stables courtyard.
