Things to do near Cheetham Hill, Manchester

One of the Manchester’s most culturally diverse areas – bustling with activity – there are always things to see and do near Cheetham Hill.

Just north of the city centre, Cheetham Hill is bursting with vibrant fabric shops and colourful fruit and veg stalls. The area is also home to the Irish World Heritage Centre. A real hub for the community, the centre hosts a wonderful programme of cultural activities, including Irish music and dance.

The Museum of Transport Greater Manchester is also close by. Head here to take a free heritage bus ride and experience how public transport has changed over the last century.

Take time to appreciate the beauty of the Manchester Jewish Museum too. Once the city’s oldest synagogue, the building has recently undergone a huge transformation to include a new cafe, gallery and shop.

Just a short 15 minutes walk from Manchester’s Northern Quarter, we think that Cheetham Hill has plenty to explore.
