Christmas in Manchester

A truly magical setting, Christmas in Manchester really is one of the most wonderful times of the year.

With its busy high street and independent boutique traders, Christmas in Manchester attracts visitors from both far and wide.

With the  European style Christmas markets popping up right across the city and all of the pantomimes and Christmas theatre shows in full swing, it’s hard to resist the sparkle and shine of the big day.

Although there won’t be a big Christmas Lights Switch On show this year, Christmas lights will still twinkle across Manchester city centre from 10 November. The Christmas Markets will open on this day too. A brilliant way to celebrate the start of the festive season in Manchester.

There are also lots of community activities happening throughout December too. With a variety of fun events for all ages – there is something for everyone.

Alternatively, it’s ok to escape the mayhem of Christmas too. Get wrapped up and take a trip to one of the many parks and green spaces outside of the city centre for some well-deserved sanctuary.
