School Holidays in Manchester

Looking for things to do during the summer school holidays – then you’re in the right place. There are loads of fun activities, from sporty holiday camps to family-friendly events to keep children and young people entertained. And with many of them free or low-cost, they won’t break the bank.

Be sure to check out Manchester Libraries’ Summer Reading Challenge and the newly launched Blue Peter Book Club too, you’ll find lots of free family activity sessions at local libraries.

In Manchester, we also run a free holiday club programme for children on benefits-related free school meals. If your children receive free school meals, check out our page dedicated to the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme.
