Join Manchester’s independent film collective Kino for a special Sunday Soul event celebrating film and music.
Head to the Nia Centre (NIAMOS) for an afternoon and evening of Northern Soul DJs and an exclusive film screening. The documentary Any Other Way – The Jackie Shane Story tells the inspiring life of Jackie Shane, a trailblazing Black transgender Soul and R&B singer.
Doors open at 2:00 pm, with DJs from 2:00 – 3:00 pm and again 5:00 – 10:00 pm. The film plays from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Tickets cost £8 in advance from the Niamos Skiddle page or £10 on the door.
