Suitable for children between age 4 and 10, young gardeners will enjoy getting their hands dirty at The Big Dig at Sadler’s Yard in Ancoats.

What kind of soil do we have in the yard? What is it made of? And also how does it work? We’ll find the answers to all of these questions and more.

With lots of digging and discussion, we’ll find out all about soil together. And then, in a few weeks time, when the soil warms up, we’ll start planting seeds too.
