Miners Community Arts and Music Centre

The Miners Community Arts and Music Centre is the beating heart of the Moston community.

The building takes its name from the days when it was a bathhouse for the coal miners who worked at Moston Pit. Known as The Miners Club, it was a place for miners to meet after work – to scrub themselves clean, enjoy a game of cards and a chat.

Now, the building houses a recording studio and rehearsal space for local bands, an 80-seater cinema and a community radio station. There’s also an art gallery for local artists to show their work as well as a cafe and charity shop. And an events space available to hire.

A thriving and friendly community centre, you’ll find a volunteer-run food bank and school holiday dinner clubs operating here too. The Miners also hosts a cracking Christmas party for all the local kids every year – with a full festive dinner and a present to open on Christmas day.

This venue is temporarily closed due to government restrictions.
