Join Chetham’s Library after hours to explore the building’s medieval stone passages, secret staircases and richly panelled rooms.

After the library has closed and the dust of the day has settled, the rooms and passageways normally closed to the public will be opened, providing a unique and magical experience.

A fantastic opportunity for visitors to enjoy the beautiful 600-year-old building without a tour guide.

Items from the current ‘Codebreakers’ theme will be on display in the Library. There will also be a few spooky surprises around the building to celebrate Halloween.

Admission times are 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm, and last entry is 6:50 pm.
