Artist Call-Out: Saluting Our Sister – Black History Month Community Exhibition

To mark Black History Month, 42nd Street are inviting you to share creative work celebrating the achievements of Black Women.

This open call isn’t just about well-known celebrities, it’s to celebrate the Black Women who have impacted our lives. Our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, colleagues, and those unsung heroes who play a huge role in our communities, organisations, workplaces and families. ⁠

To enter, send your artwork, writing and photographs of your own inspiring black women to create@42ndstreet.org.uk or email to drop your work off at The Horsfall. Closing date is 15 October. Please include something about the person, why they matter and what they mean to you.

The work will be showcased at The Horsfall from 19 – 21 October.
