Come along to the preview of Smooth Sailing, 一路順風, the first solo exhibition by artist Marcos Kueh at esea contemporary.

Using colourful textiles, sculpture and sound, Marcos explores what it means to move from one place to another in search of a better life. The title comes from a Chinese phrase wishing someone a safe and easy journey.

The exhibition includes a large new artwork with a weathered ship sail and embroidery machine, alongside woven talismans that imagine ideas of luck, wealth and long life in today’s world.

This is a free event, but booking in advance is recommended.
