Sharpen your colouring pencils and pop along to Burnage Library for a family-friendly drawing session.

The session will be led by Ian Morris, illustrator of The Library Book. Ian will bring his sketchbooks and show you how he creates characters in his head and then draws them on the page.

Suitable for ages 5+, places are free, but please contact Burnage Library on 0161 227 3774 or call in to book.

Meanwhile, budding young illustrators (aged between 5 and 16) should take a look at the ‘Design a Library Card’ competition too. Follow in Ian Morris’ footsteps and become one of the new library card creators. You can also win £40 of art supplies plus a poster of your winning Manchester Libraries card design.
