Manchester Museum is marking International Peace Day (Sunday 21 September) with a host of interactive and creative activities.

Take part in a digital peace trail through the Chinese Culture Gallery, write a poem for peace and make your own origami peace crane.

You can also head to the Living Worlds gallery to discover the heartbreaking story of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl whose actions have become a powerful symbol of peace.

At 1.15 pm, there will also be a special edition of the Museum’s Collection Bites talks series, ‘Gods and Goddesses of Peace’, where you can explore museum objects that reveal how people in the ancient world understood and expressed peace.
