Make It: Autumnal Apple Cakes

Family friendly

Five golden-brown muffins dusted with powdered sugar are arranged on a rustic wooden cutting board. Two fresh apples are next to them: one whole apple, mostly peeled with the skin spiraling around it, and a slice of apple. To the right, a dark green mug holds a small amount of milk or cream, and a small metal sifter with powdered sugar sits partially behind the apple slice. The scene is warmly lit.

This half-term, join Manchester Jewish Museum for a hands-on baking workshop where you’ll make some delicious apple cakes.

While your cakes are in the oven, you’ll explore stories from the museum’s collection and learn more about the connections between apples and Jewish culture.

You’ll get to take your cake home with you, along with the recipe to make it for all your friends and family.

Tickets include entry to the museum so you’ll also get to explore the galleries and synagogue too.
