To mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2026, local young people from Cheetham Hill and King David School have worked with the museum to create a new temporary exhibition. They explored the stories of Jewish people from Manchester whose lives were affected by the Holocaust, and responded by making thoughtful artworks inspired by this year’s theme, Bridging Generations.

Visit the museum’s Open Day to see their work, join in creative activities and explore the museum galleries and historic Spanish & Portuguese synagogue. You can also enjoy food and drinks from the café, inspired by the stories behind the exhibition.

Free entry, all ages welcome, with drop-in activities running between 12–3pm.

Please note that the museum’s lift is currently out of order, and the galleries are accessible by stairs only.
