Manchester has recently been declared the European Capital of Cycling. As a result, Clean and Green Castlefield and Manchester City Council have joined in celebrating cycling and active travel. Ready, Set Cycle is a free day of cycling fun.

Transport for Greater Manchester’s Active Travel Roadshow will be there ready to share information on the newly revamped walking and cycling routes of the Bee Network and how you can make the most of it.

Greater Manchester Police will be applying security tags to bikes and sharing useful tips on how to keep your bike safe from thieves. And Bee Pedal Ready will be carrying out bike maintenance on any bikes (free of charge).

There will also be plenty of free travel goodies on offer throughout the day.
