Back to School Activities in Manchester

Shiny school shoes, new uniform and the back to school photographs, there are many activities happening in Manchester for the start of the new school year.

Many leisure centres in Manchester offer a super swimming lesson timetable that works around the school week. There are also many other sports sessions on offer for children too. Whether they’re into dodgeball or gymnastics – it’s important to keep fit, have fun and make new friends.

The Royal Exchange and Z-Arts are among many arts organisations offering brilliant term-time activity too. Young performers and creatives can learn new skills and have fun as part of the Young Company Collective at the Royal Exchange and budding musicians will definitely want to check out Levi’s Music Project at Z-Arts. Additionally, many local libraries run regular lego and coding clubs, and are a great place to get homework done too.

For many parents, September marks a welcomed return to routine, and for some much needed peace and quiet. Check out the activities and sessions on offer at local leisure centres and libraries; many also offer training, employment opportunities and free careers advice.
