There are many activities happening in Manchester ready for the start of an exciting new school year.

MCRActive offer swimming lessons and sports sessions that work around the school week. From dodgeball to gymnastics, sports sessions offer a great way to keep fit, have fun and make new friends.

Young people can take up a new hobby at one of the many arts organisations in Manchester. Whether they’re into acting, dancing, music or making, there are lots of clubs happening at the Royal Exchange, The Edge, Z-arts, and at various Music Hubs across the city. You’ll also find lots of regular events taking place at your local library too.

For many parents and caregivers, September marks a welcomed return to routine and is a great time to start a new hobby or training. Check out the activities and sessions at local leisure centres and libraries for adults; many offer training, employment opportunities and free career advice too.
