The King’s Coronation Celebrations in Manchester
The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place on Saturday 6 May at Westminster Abbey.
This historic milestone is a time of huge celebration and there are many fun events and community activities taking place right across the country. We’ve also been given a special bank holiday on Monday 8 May to honor the occasion.
Manchester communities are encouraged and supported to join the three-day celebration taking place from Saturday 6 May – Monday 8 May. Everyone is invited to watch the coronation live on the big screen in the historical setting of Manchester Cathedral on Saturday 6 May. There are also lots of smaller local celebrations happening over the long weekend too.
You can join the Coronation conversation across social media too – share your events and activities by using the hashtag #CoronationMcr.
