Embroidery is one of the most important practices in Palestinian culture.

This new display at The Whitworth shows the history of embroidery in Palestine. You’ll be able to see a selection of embroidered items of clothing as well as find out more about the art of embroidery and its importance in Palestinian life and politics.

During these troubled times in the Middle East, The Whitworth continues to promote understanding and offer a space for reflection and community. For further information, please email whitworthpress@manchester.ac.uk.
