Dive deeper into Manchester Central Library’s current exhibition, PUNK: The Art of Rebellion, with a day of talks and tours celebrating the politics, power and energy of punk.

Start with ‘The Politics of Punk’ (from 12.15 – 1.15pm), where the exhibition’s curator will take you through the social and political moments that helped punk explode in the 1970s.

Then join ‘United in Rebellion: The Story of the Anti-Nazi League’ (from 1.30 – 2.30pm), where you’ll discover how people came together in the late ’70s to challenge racism and the far right – showing that protest can be loud, creative and full of community spirit.

You can also join a 30-minute guided tour of the exhibition at 11:00 am or 3.15 pm, taking you through the key stories, objects and sounds that shaped punk, ending with a friendly Q&A.
