Saturday Guided Tour: Slavs and Tatars

Slavs and Tatars, ‘Simurgh', 2025, installation view, dimensions variable.
Image credit: A brightly colored artwork features a wallpaper-like background filled with a repeated pattern of illustrated hands making various gestures, birds, and stylized letters in red, teal, yellow, and pink tones on a light pink backdrop. Two bold rectangular signs are displayed on top. The left sign has a dark red background with cream-colored stylized Arabic-like characters above the letters "r" and "u". The right sign has a green background with large, playful blue letters spelling "öÖÖPOS!" diagonally. The overall style is whimsical, colorful, and surreal.

On the last Saturday of each month, visitors can join a free 30-minute guided tour of Slavs and Tatars: The Contest of the Fruits at esea contemporary.

Led by a member of the curatorial team, the tour offers insights into the exhibition, with time for questions and discussion.

No need to book – just drop in. Tours are also available for schools, universities and community groups. For group visits, email hello@eseacontemporary.org with two weeks’ notice.
