Join Manchester Jewish Museum to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The museum will welcome visitors for a special Open Day as part of Cheetham Cultural Festival 2021.

Sukkot is a Jewish festival to celebrate the harvest and also to commemorate the sheltering of the Jewish people in the wilderness.

To celebrate Sukkot, the museum will be building their own Sukkah (a temporary structure used throughout Sukkot) in their new Learning Studio. Visitors will also be invited to decorate the Sukkah; make their own delicious bagels and learn more about Sukkot history.

There will also be guided tours of the museum and synagogue, alongside poetry readings and live music.

The museum’s vegetarian café will also be serving fresh food and drinks throughout the day.
