Join a friendly shared reading session at Elizabeth Gaskell’s House and enjoy reading aloud together in the author’s own home.

Led by a trained Reader Leader from The Reader charity, each relaxed session includes a short extract from one of Elizabeth Gaskell’s novels. You’re welcome to listen, read along or share your thoughts, and there’s no pressure to speak.

A welcoming way to enjoy literature together in a unique setting.

Free to attend, booking required. Sessions take place at 11am and 2pm on Sunday 21 June and Wednesday 24 June.
