Telescope is a new show from Manchester theatre company Quarantine. It brings together people of different ages to share the objects that matter most to them — from everyday items to treasured keepsakes. Through these stories, the performance explores what it means to belong, what we value, and how objects hold memories of our lives.

Do different generations treasure different things? At Manchester Museum, young people and older adults have lent personal objects for a unique four-day exhibition. Hosted by performers, the lenders are asked questions that spark funny, moving and thought-provoking conversations.

Drop in anytime to see the collection grow and hear the stories behind the objects – from the ordinary to the extraordinary. It’s a chance to reflect on what we value, and why.
