If you’re looking for a family day out this August – get yourselves down to Victoria Baths. Events happen every Wednesday throughout the school holidays and also on Sunday 27 August.
Every Wednesday (from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm) throughout August, the doors to the huge pool halls will be open. There will be lots of colorful arts and crafts activities to enjoy. Create artwork and decorations inspired by the beautiful building. Entry to the activities is free, but donations are encouraged.
You can also take a fun trail through the building – ‘Miles of Tiles’ is a great way to experience the building with family and friends. Walk around Victoria Baths, complete tasks along the way and claim your small prize at the Welcome Desk when you’ve finished. Recommended for ages 5+. You can take part for free, but donations are encouraged.
If you would prefer a guided tour, you can explore the building with a guide at 1:00 pm. Tickets are £8 for adults (free for Friends of Victoria Baths) and children under 16 are free.
On Wednesday 16 August, families can enjoy ‘Picnic in the Pool’ from 12 noon. Bring blankets, cushions and teddies. You can also bring your own picnic or purchase treats from the Victoria Baths Tea Room. There will be games and activities, a kids’ photo booth and a dress-up area. Entry is free, but donations are encouraged. Booking in advance is advised.
