October 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Elizabeth Gaskell’s House being open to the public following its restoration.

To celebrate this important milestone, this new exhibition delves into the personal stories of the people who saved this much-loved house from dereliction.

The centrepiece of the exhibition is a special anniversary quilt created by textile artist Dr Sarah-Joy Ford.

Admission to the exhibition is included in your ticket. Elizabeth Gaskell’s House is open on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
