Head to the Whitworth to see a vibrant and powerful exhibition by celebrated Roma-Polish artist Małgorzata Mirga-Tas.

Using colourful textiles and fabric, she creates large-scale artworks that tell rich stories and celebrate Romany culture and history. Her work invites visitors to see the Whitworth’s textile collection in a fresh way, while shining a light on the lives of stateless communities.

Mirga-Tas made history as the first Roma artist to represent a national pavilion at the Venice Biennale. This inspiring show is presented in collaboration with Tate St Ives.
