Museums, galleries and theatres in Manchester will be able to welcome visitors back again soon. In line with government guidelines, many of our favourite places will be open again from 19 May 2021.
Libraries in Manchester have already opened too. And although it may be some time before regular events and community groups start up again in Manchester’s libraries, you can now browse and borrow books.

Manchester Museum is undergoing a huge building project and is closed to the public until late 2022.
Box office opening hours are Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday/ Sunday 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. There is counter service until 8:00 pm on concert nights.
The Gallery of Costume is temporarily closed to the public. However, you can access their collection online through their Instagram account @mag_platthall.
